RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Performs all activities necessary to process one or more multi-state payrolls including maintaining related records, reviewing automated system output such as registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out of balance conditions, and overseeing state/federal payroll tax returns

·         Ensure the payroll is processed in an accurate, timely and compliant with federal and state laws

·         Interpret new legislation impacting payroll

·         Support all internal and external audits related to payroll, worker’s compensation, corporate and benefit plans

·         Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production

·         Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests, distributing employee self -service registration materials and system training

·         Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements

·         Prepare accounting transactions and documents and prepare special reports for senior management

·         Prepare relevant monthly, quarterly and year end reports

·         Update and maintain HRIS and Time and Attendance systems

·         Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional          societies

·         Assist with day to day administration of policies and programs related to Human Resources functions

·         Protect the interests of employees and the organization in accordance with the company’s Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations

·         Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as assigned or requested

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 

Skills:  

·         Must have excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and typing) to facilitate communications between the Executives and staff. 

·         Must have excellent time management skills, be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.

·         Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now required

·         Requires comprehensive knowledge of personal computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications

·         Knowledge in applicable local, state and federal laws

·         Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

·         High integrity and ethical standards

 Education/Experience: 

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, business or a related field

·         1-3 years of experience in Payroll or closely related experience preferred

·         CPP/PHR/SHRM-CP/SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
